Meet Tami Lange: Founder of Save The Girls
We were fortunate to connect with Tami Lange, founder of Save The Girls, to learn more about her inspiring journey, the story behind her innovative brand, and the mission that continues to drive her business forward.
The Story Behind Save The Girls
Like many impactful businesses, Save The Girls began with a deeply personal experience.
In the same week, two of Tami’s daughters lost their phones—one during a hike and the other in the washing machine. While frustrating as a parent, a later conversation with her sister-in-law proved to be life-changing. At the time, her sister-in-law was battling breast cancer and casually mentioned that she often carried her phone tucked inside her bra.
What truly stopped Tami in her tracks was learning that her sister-in-law had developed a tumor in that exact area.
That moment sparked a realization: women needed a safer, more convenient way to carry their phones—one that didn’t rely on nonexistent pockets or habits that could pose health risks. This insight led to the creation of touchscreen purses, and ultimately, Save The Girls was born.
Within just six weeks, Tami sourced manufacturers, developed her first products, launched a website, and officially started the brand. Only six months later, she received a call that would change everything—Lori Greiner from Shark Tank reached out to partner with her.
From there, Save The Girls grew beyond expectations, with features on QVC, HSN, Good Morning America, and major television networks across Canada and Australia.
A Brand Built With Purpose
While growth and recognition were exciting, what Tami is most proud of is the purpose behind Save The Girls.
From day one, her vision was to build a company that supported not only her family, but women everywhere. That’s why Save The Girls donates 10% of all profits to breast cancer research.
Thanks to the support of over one million customers, the company has donated more than $120,000 to the American Cancer Society’s Breast Cancer Research Division—with even more contributions planned for the future.

What Save The Girls Does Today
Modern problems require modern solutions. Today, smartphones are essential—we rely on them for communication, organization, navigation, and safety. Yet many women still struggle to find a secure and practical way to carry them.
Save The Girls designs products by women, for women.
Their touchscreen purses and Clip & Go straps are made for real life—whether you’re running errands, attending a sporting event, traveling, or enjoying a night out. The designs allow you to use your phone without removing it, keeping it visible, secure, and always within reach.
No digging through bags. No missed moments. Just peace of mind.

A Defining Moment of Resilience
One of the most challenging moments in Tami’s journey came very early on. When the first container of Save The Girls products was being shipped, a severe storm off the coast of Los Angeles caused the container to fall overboard.
That meant $65,000 worth of inventory lost at sea.
Uncertain if the products would ever be recovered—or if the business could survive—Tami focused on problem-solving and keeping her team moving forward. Thankfully, the inventory was eventually recovered, but the experience reinforced an invaluable lesson: giving up was never an option.

Navigating Manufacturing
In 2017, shortly after the idea for touchscreen purses was born, Tami posted a project on Alibaba.com, unsure if anyone could actually manufacture what she envisioned.
By the next morning, she had 17 bids, all from the same province in China.
Curious and determined, she booked a one-way ticket to see the factories in person. What she found surprised her—clean facilities, strong labor laws, and respected global brands being produced alongside smaller innovators.
That leap of faith confirmed she could build Save The Girls responsibly and sustainably—and it became a turning point in the brand’s success.
