Every October, the world turns pink. Ribbons go up, buildings light up and people everywhere come together to raise awareness for breast cancer. For many brands, it's a meaningful moment on the calendar. For us at Save The Girls, it's something even deeper. It's a reflection of who we are, why we started and what we hope to keep building for years to come.
It's in our name
Our name may be lighthearted, but the meaning behind it is anything but. Save The Girls is a daily reminder of who we're here for: the women in our lives, our community and everyone who has been touched by breast cancer. Every time we say our name, we're reminded of the mission that has been part of this company from the very start.
It started with someone we love
Our story began with family. Our founder, Tami Lange, was inspired by her sister-in-law, who was battling breast cancer at the time. During a lighthearted family moment, she joked that she never loses her phone, then pulled it out of her bra.
It made everyone laugh, but it also stayed with Tami. Her sister-in-law's strength, humor and resilience became the heart of what Save The Girls would become. From that moment on, this cause was never just something we supported. It was personal.
Giving back from day one
When Tami started Save The Girls, she made a promise that giving back would always be part of the business. Since day one, we've donated 10% of our profits to breast cancer research, and today we're proud to be direct partners with the American Cancer Society's breast cancer research division.
Thanks to you, we've donated more than $160,000 to breast cancer research so far. That number represents years of support from a community that believes in this mission as much as we do.
What your support makes possible
Breast cancer research is behind so much of the progress we see today. It has helped lead to earlier detection, more effective treatments and a growing number of women who get to call themselves survivors. There are now more than 4 million breast cancer survivors in the U.S., and every one of them is a reminder of why this work matters.
When you support Save The Girls, you're part of that progress. Every share, every kind word and every bit of encouragement helps us keep giving back to the research that changes lives.
A community that shows up
Some of the most meaningful moments for us happen in our comments, in our messages and when we get to meet you in person. So many of you have shared stories about mothers, aunts, sisters, friends and your own experiences with breast cancer. Some stories are about loss, some are about fighting and some are about surviving. Every one of them means more to us than we can say.
Your stories are a reminder that breast cancer touches nearly all of us in some way, and that none of us are in this alone. This community is the reason we do what we do.
This month and every month
October may be the month the world turns pink, but for us, the mission doesn't end when October does. We'll keep giving back, keep sharing stories and keep standing beside everyone affected by breast cancer, all year long.
To the fighters, the survivors, the families and the ones we carry in our hearts: thank you for being part of our story. Together, we're making a difference. 💕
